The moment England chose to move was the moment Germany stepped forward as well, gathering a bit speed before stopping directly behind the island with a deliberately audible shuffle of his boots to finally catch England's attention and hopefully make him attempt to look back.

Using the momentum he still had, the German quickly spun on one foot to gather up a decent amount of force when bringing up his other leg and aim the heavy heel of his boot at the side of England's head with a force that might easily throw the other nation off his feet. Thus the hope England would turn around before the actual impact. Because breaking his nose while sending him into the nearby stone wall was a much more satisfying scenario than simply cracking his skull.
