It was a horrible sound, not the sound of cartilage popping, but the sound of someone sneaking up on you from behind. England had already lost at that point. How could he have let himself fall into such an obvious trap? Sure, he'd expected Germany to hunt him down, expected to be given a good thrashing. The fact that Prussia had followed along didn't surprise him either. England should not have been shocked by any of this. And he wasn't, not really. But that didn't mean it didn't hurt any less.

He didn't quite hit the wall, as Germany had wanted. England fell just a little short of it, but he did receive the kick to the face. He stared at the sky in a daze for several seconds, cursing himself for being so unprepared.
