Crab Sticks
Characters: Lancer (AU), Feferi Peixes (AU), OPEN
Date: Saturday, August 25th (Evening) 2012
Format: Action!
Content Warnings: PG-13, Violence/language.
Summary: Lancer and Feferi smash a giant crab and the latter attempts to eat it all! Will be open for anyone who wants to eat!
[So far, Lancer had felt more home wandering the shores of the Teyn and trying to angle gigantic fish in the depths of the lake. For the most part despite his comfort and feeling of familiarity with the dangers of the locale, he felt remarkably bored.
So, he took a nap by the shore, the two familiars that had come with him curled up at his sides, though remaining silent. They didn't often sleep as they were utilized primarily for the sake of guarding their master, but without her around--they fell to working for the Servant, instead. He couldn't complain that they were only begrudgingly obeying him. For the moment, he was warm and could sleep out in the open.
Until, of course, a gigantic crab monster burst out of a stone column just down the shore, waking him up.]
...Ah?

...Ah?

It just so happens that it isn't a good one. The crabs in this world are a mite more healthy than their counterparts on her Alternia. But she's got its carapace cracked enough to squirm one little arm in under the shell and wreak havoc on its assorted nervous system related organs.
It shrieks in a distinctly giant monster sort of way before collapsing and sending her tumbling horns over heels. ]
Ain't all that ruined, I'm thinking! Hello there, human!
[ She beams over at him proudly. ]

Even after we touched on deceiving appearances, you think I'm human.
[He smirked suddenly, reaching over and drawing his spear up after his own crab finally stopped stumbling. It fell, smashing into the sand and sending up sheets of of it as a result. Lancer was suddenly clutching his spear once more as it drew up in a bolt of red lightning.]
--Still. Did you chase it down or did it wake you up, too?
no subject
Startled me out of nowhere, it did.
[ And there's that claw she was looking for. She picks it up and drags it over so she can perch on her kill happily, and promptly bites right into the shell to break it open.
Hey, it's a good source of calcium! ]

Hold off, don't try and eat it right away. [He then directed his fingertips to the open air in front of a stack of driftwood hanging on the side of the scene, calling the 'Ansuz' rune, which immediately ignited all of it in a tall flame.]
Cook the potential toxins out of it, missy--before you dig in.

What toxins? Water's clean as rain here, conch you tell? An' how'd you make all that fire, huh?
[ But that's really just the petulant fussing of a childish fish girl, because she hugs the claw to her chest so she can hop off the corpse and take it over to the fire. It can roast a minute or two, she supposes. ]

Water can be clean all it wants, but some beasts I've seen could turn everythin' in their body into poison at will. It's always good to try an' boil everything out of it. Anyway, no fussin'. It always tastes better cooked.
