[The elf was quiet, but that was seriously nothing new. Fenris made a good amount of money selling some of the assorted dragon-pieces that were cut off of that unfortunate mage-dragon a while ago, though he did keep some of the wares. Not shoes, though. Bloody Anders and his fixation on shoes. In any case, Fenris continued walking about searching for the next job to undertake.]

[Toph is standing in front of the quest board in the marketplace, frowning deeply at it. She can't read anything on there, of course-- she's blind. But she's bored and tired of having to wait for people to ask her to do things; she wants to take some initiative. It's not working out.

When she feels someone approaching, she doesn't turn to face him, just calls out assertively,] Hey, you. Come read this for me.

[She jabs a finger forward to point to what she wants him to read. Comically, it's an empty part of the board, only wood grain and no postings on it.]

[Fenris comes over, eyebrow raised. Of course you'd ask someone who was illiterate until only relatively recently ago. Still, he was unsure whether or not to have fun with this or not.]

You don't waste time with pleasantries, do you?

You want pleasantries? [Toph sounds skeptical as she finally turns to face him.]

Please, sir, help this poor dumb blind girl with reading the quest board, [she says in a falsely sweet voice.] I'm ever so useless on my own.
