Characters: Shiki Ryougi and YOU! (i.e. open log)
Date: September 17th
Format: Preferably action spam, but I'll match what you tag with!
Content Warnings: Possible vague references to some gorey acts, but other than that nothing.
Summary: Even without any desire to do anything or even live, Shiki can't really stay in one place forever.
[It's a bright, sunny day when Shiki finally steps out her assigned room and into the actual city. She'd spent the last while trying to get used to walking around without her sight in her room, but frankly, there were some things she needed that she just couldn't get in that place.
Like a decent kimono for one. You'd have to be crazy to think she'd keep wearing the hospital given one. Of course, the only problem was... y'know, getting to an actual store. Rather than wander aimlessly about, Shiki decided to take a seat at whatever sort of seating area was close by. She listens for footsteps and when people pass by. When it sounds like someone's close enough...]
Hey. You over there. [Yep, the girl with bandages wrapped around her eyes is calling out to you. Nothing strange about this at all.]

[She needs to explore this place a bit more and hope that none of the other trolls recognize her horns; the market is especially of interest to her. It's there she's on her way to when she hears a voice calling to her. She looks at the alien girl curiously before identifying the bandages around her eyes.]
[Dolorosa may know how to wield a chainsaw for maximum efficiency, but she has a soft heart in the end. She comes a bit closer.]

Video;
Unluckily for him, he didn't know that the more modern ages didn't work quite like that. As he smoked away the last of his money and scratched the ears of his old master's hound familiars, Lancer looked at the light tunneling down from the ceiling of the realm as Ryougi spoke up to him.]
What's up, missy? [He said, not even sparing a glance her way.]
Video;
Still, she frowns. In a place like this, she'd rather take a "hey you" or something as informal rather than a placeholder like that, even if it wasn't meant in such a way.]
You know what kind of shops are around here?

In these neighborhoods, you're only gonna find the basic small stores--just convenience stores, really. If you want somethin' that isn't just basic toiletries or liquor, it's better to hit up the Market.

Overall, it's likely more clothes n' food than anythin' else down there. [Lancer noted Ryougi's posture and above all else, he could tell she was athletic. He was far from an innocent man, devoid of hardiness in battle, but most of all he had the uncanny knack of being able to tell from a person's frame what kind of athletics they got themselves into. Ryougi looked much more like a hunter than anything else, even giving her restrictive clothing.]
Want help gettin' there? I imagine that stuff's gotta be cumbersome to wear too often.

Good thing clothes are what I'm looking for. [At his offer though, Shiki's frown only deepens. She just wasn't the type to take help from others so easily, and that was no different here. If she was really going to live like this though--choosing not to see--then she'd probably need to compromise at some point.] Directions on how to get there are fine. That shouldn't be too hard, right?

[Subject to change at any time.]
[The sudden "hey, you!" was startling to say the least.]
Eh!? Oh, uhm, me?...Yes?...
[He turns to see the bandaged young woman. Stunned speechless by her nigh impeccable stoicism. Those last two words were amongst his thoughts that moment. As we as questioning as to why he decided to approach her at that moment.]

... calm down. [It's said awkwardly and stiffly, but she just wants to get this done as quickly as possible.] I just want to ask a question.

[His attempt at sounding pleasant was largely a success. Must be that new decaffinated beverage he had just recently tried. It was boasted as being able to steady the nerves with the precision of cold steel!...whatever that meant.]
[Being the resident paper boy, he might as well communicate with all of his charges as possible! No, that's not why...he should because it's the neighborly thing to do. Not that the Unversed have particularly helped with that.]

[Being the sort who owns about twenty outfits, all of them the same outfit, this question seemed out of place...]
[Then again, a stroll earlier that week proved more fruitful in hindsight.]
It's a block or two from here, but there is rather large department store specializing in all sorts of garments, formal or otherwise. For anyone of any social status, might I add!
[Might want to slow down a bit there, Eddward.]
But pardon, I have not introduced myself. My name is Eddward, paperboy extraordinaire and...unfortunate victim of circumstance, given my current luck with my employment. At any rate, might I inquire as to your name? Perhaps an opinion on your favorite assortment of clothes would also be a terrific start! [Most of his shaking has died down a bit. A brim of confidence is always needed for first impressions, Eddward thought.]

... Shiki Ryougi. [The way she says her name is a bit slow, almost uncomfortable. It's hard to see a change in her expression with the bandages, but for whatever reason there is some noticeable discomfort.] Traditional Japanese clothing.

until someone seemed to be hailing her down. Nepeta starts a little bit, a lifetime of wariness difficult to discard even in this city of mostly non-trolls. she turns a little and sees the caller, whose alien appearance relaxes her again. she smiles, cheerful once more.]
