Equius has been alone in his room for a couple of hours. Now he descends to the common room, a piece of paper crumpled in his shaking fingers.

Tavros is out for the next several hours, and Sollux is home and not in the water-filled basement. He won't have a better opportunity for this, but it's taken him a long time to build his courage to the point where he can do this.

He approaches Sollux diffidently. Their relationship has been rocky in the past, and he just hopes that this won't offend him or invite mockery.

"S...Sollux? May I speak to you for a moment?"
