Characters: Signless, Disciple, Dolorosa, Helmsman and Psii [CLOSED]
Date: Any time from Dolorosa's arrival to the present
Format: Whichever!
Content Warnings: None for now
Summary: Life in the holy bros hive
It's not the easiest of arrangements, each of them having different rooms to stay in scattered about, but they've made it work somehow. Helmsman tucked in comfortably in a bed and Di and Signless bedding down on the floor next to him along with frequent visits to Psii to make sure that he's okay. And then Dolorosa arrived and took charge of mothercluckbeasting all of them, and with the amount of time they all spend trying to be close to each other...well. They're going to need to step up their efforts at getting their own place.
But in the meantime they're together, and that makes just about anything bearable.
((ooc: go ahead and post individual threads, just mark the where and when and whether they're open to the whole family or meant for someone in particular!))

Of course you can see them! Would you like me to draw something just for you?
no subject
Jutht for Thythtem? Uther Di wisheth to make data available only to Thythtem?
[What the hell. But he's not one to oppose an admin's wishes. Only try to be useful. He floats his mirror over.]
Thythtem can uthe native communicationth devithe to backup phythical data. If uther wisheth.
no subject
Yes. Yes, I'd like to do that.
[She watches him float the mirror over, looking curious.]
Backup data? How?
no subject
Devithe ith capable of thtoring vithual data. Thythtem can record uther Di'th data should the phythical copy be damaged.
no subject
[She's more excited by the idea than she lets on; making copies of Signless' words would reassure her that they wouldn't be lost no matter what happens to her or her book. But that's something to think about and discuss with Signless later on. For now, she sets her mind to sketching yet again.]

[He's noticed she has a tendency to kind of guard this book with her life. Is it because this is her only copy, or does she not want others to see...? People are weird.]
no subject
[What are technological terms...]
no subject
[He offers his mirror for her to type.]
no subject
[She looks at the mirror thoughtfully.]

[He closes his eyes, but the pain in his head leaves as quickly as it came. These errors are becoming commonplace. It frustrates him that he simply cannot erase the corrupt "data" in his head.]
...Thythtem cannot thtore pathword. Uther Di will have to thtore it thomewhere elthe. In cathe pathword ith forgotten, Thythtem will not be able to athitht.
no subject
[Psii, she wants to hug you so bad right now. She hates seeing him this way.]
no subject
[Dammit he malfunctioned again...]

[But before she can respond, another question leaves him unbidden.]
Uther Di enjoyth catth and beeth?
no subject
I do! They're two of my very favourite things. What about you?
no subject
Thythtem? Thythtem preferentheth? [What is even.] Thythtem dithplayth thettingth according to which uther ith uthing Thythtem.
no subject
Also she really needs to learn how to phrase things in Helmsman-ese.]
Not settings, I just mean...do you like bees? And cats? I can make your drawing of them, if you wanted.
no subject
Yeth.
no subject
Okay! I'll make sure it's done by the time we move to a new hive.
no subject
Thank... you...
[He thought the words would be strange, but his lips know this movement somehow. It feels right to say, to her at least.]
no subject
[She's just going to reach out, slowly, so as not to startle him, hoping to give his shoulder a gently encouraging squeeze.]
no subject
[When her hand touches his shoulder, he slams shut his eyes. His nerves expect to feel pain and even try to tell him so. But does it actually hurt? No. Today he will not flinch away. Today he...
[...completely shrinks and floats a few feet away. It is hard to speak. His throat malfunctions and tightens too much.]
Thythtem apologitheth.
