It's not the easiest of arrangements, each of them having different rooms to stay in scattered about, but they've made it work somehow. Helmsman tucked in comfortably in a bed and Di and Signless bedding down on the floor next to him along with frequent visits to Psii to make sure that he's okay. And then Dolorosa arrived and took charge of mothercluckbeasting all of them, and with the amount of time they all spend trying to be close to each other...well. They're going to need to step up their efforts at getting their own place.

But in the meantime they're together, and that makes just about anything bearable.

When Dolorosa arrives?

She'd told him to sleep, but it's not like he could even if he wanted to. He was really starting to get frustrated with how he's pretty much been put on lockdown by all the women in his life, even if he did appreciate how much the worried for him. At least with the Helmsman around to care for he didn't feel so useless.

But no, exhausted as he was, his guardian was out there. On her way, hopefully, and he was pacing impatiently. Listening for once, rather than rush out to find her. He kept telling himself that this place was safer, kinder than where they came from. It didn't really help that much though.

The 20th, Open to the whole family

[With the Dolorosa here and with a bit more money and things to trade on her person, there has been a bit more to spend for essentials. She always makes sure to let the others know when she is going out and how long it should be before they start getting worried- the same sort of tactics they often employed back on Alternia.]

[It's during one of these outings that she returns. All the groceries and clothing are in her sylladex, but in her hands... There are some papers. Heading to their small kitchen, she begins to organize things even as she calls out into the rest of the house.]

I have returned. I know some of you have been feeling restless, so I looked into a few opportunities, if you're interested. Also, I managed to have enough on my person to purchase a few delectable treats. We can have them after our dinner.

[He allowed Signless and Disciple to tend to his organic needs, as he had designated them temporary system administrators. But he is still very wary of strangers. He gives a start in bed when he sees a pink-fleshed alien enter the temporary respiteblock.]

[Helmsman is wary, as with any stranger entering the room where he's been told to rest. Yes, stranger. The Condesce's striking of the rebellion from all records was thorough, especially in her helmsman. Without her powerful presence, though, little tendrils of familiarity creep at the back of his mind.]

Disciple has made herself a small pile with all the cushions she's been able to scavenge from around the hive, and now she's settled happily on top of them, sketching away in her book. Signless hasn't said much lately, but that hasn't stopped her from trying to add at least a little something to the pages every day. She's almost done for now, though, and will be looking for company soon enough. It looks like there's room left on the pile for one more!
