Characters: The Helmsman / The Ψiioniic (OU) [OPEN]
Date: Oct 05
Format: Whatever; i will action spam unless told not to :P
Content Warnings: none?
Summary: Helmsman exploring the city during off hours.
It gets chilly in the early morning. This is the quietest time, after the nocturnal have gone to sleep, and before the diurnal wake. He is wrapped in one of his friend's cloaks. The smell is comforting.
The Helmsman scheduled his navigational tasks later to allow his body to recover from his arrival. It is a considerably more calm and stable Helmsman who floats above the city and its outskirts, collecting visual data. What good is a helmsman system if it cannot map out the surrounding area? He is here because of duty and programming, not curiosity.
Still, it disturbs him that there are no stars. Yes, he was kept in a ship's navigational block for ages, and is still anxious about going outside. But half that time his head was filled with visual input of stars as he drove the Empress's battleship. By them, he always knew exactly where in the galaxy he was.
The caverns are brooding and primal. Thoughts of predators and stony, enclosed spaces fill his mind. Unsettling. He's not sure why. He'll leave exploring the outlying labyrinths for another time.
(He may or may not be wearing knitted wool cozies for his biowires. He was asked to wear them in the cold, okay?!)

It's as he heads down one of the more ruined streets in the Gnomish District that he spots the floating troll, biowires trailing behind.
Were he not absolutely shocked and slightly horrified by the Helmsman's appearance, he might find the knitted biowire cozies to be both practical and possibly even cute.::
Uh, excuse me...? Are you... quite alright?

friendadministrator The Dolorosa made them! She's very good at knitting, they are very warm.]Greetingth. Helmthman Thythtem ith thtable. Input uthername?

...Nicholas Angel.
::...
Wait just one moment here.
What the fuck?! That... computer system... is a living being?! What sort of sick people would do such a thing to a person?!::

[The biowires alone are the stuff of nightmare fuel, not to mention the things they've grafted onto his brain... He notices the pink-fleshed human is exhibiting discomfort.]
Is user stable?
no subject
::The biowires are definitely going to give him nightmares, so perhaps it's for the best that he doesn't know the extent of the modifications.
It would probably make sleep near impossible if he did.::
I... wasn't aware you were actually alive. I thought you were a computer program.
My apologies.

[A biowire on his arm twitches slightly out of place. His brow furrows as he looks down at it, moving it back into position.]

That's unpleasant, really.::
I'm not entirely sure it's possible to have organic parts and the capability for intelligent speech and not be alive?
::He's terribly naïve in the ways of sci-fi. Forgive him his ignorance.::

[He's quickly learning not to expect too much from these delicate, squishy humans... Gosh, there's even rumors they haven't traveled past their own solar system!]
Does user engage in interstellar travel?
