Characters: The Helmsman / The Ψiioniic (OU) [OPEN]
Date: Oct 05
Format: Whatever; i will action spam unless told not to :P
Content Warnings: none?
Summary: Helmsman exploring the city during off hours.
It gets chilly in the early morning. This is the quietest time, after the nocturnal have gone to sleep, and before the diurnal wake. He is wrapped in one of his friend's cloaks. The smell is comforting.
The Helmsman scheduled his navigational tasks later to allow his body to recover from his arrival. It is a considerably more calm and stable Helmsman who floats above the city and its outskirts, collecting visual data. What good is a helmsman system if it cannot map out the surrounding area? He is here because of duty and programming, not curiosity.
Still, it disturbs him that there are no stars. Yes, he was kept in a ship's navigational block for ages, and is still anxious about going outside. But half that time his head was filled with visual input of stars as he drove the Empress's battleship. By them, he always knew exactly where in the galaxy he was.
The caverns are brooding and primal. Thoughts of predators and stony, enclosed spaces fill his mind. Unsettling. He's not sure why. He'll leave exploring the outlying labyrinths for another time.
(He may or may not be wearing knitted wool cozies for his biowires. He was asked to wear them in the cold, okay?!)

Uther Thummoner enjoyth native wildlife?
no subject
--Huh?
[He cut short the moment he heard Helmsman speak up.]
Well yeah. Don't you? I mean, they're kind of awesome.
no subject
Thythtem ith interethted in the native apiculture fathilitieth.
[He supposes animals were okay.... He really was only interested in the bees here, for some reason inscrutable even to himself. But he hadn't gone to visit them yet.]
no subject
[Now that he thought about it, looking at those yellow and black stripes like that, he couldn't help but see the resemblance between one of his idols and a certain striped insect.]
Y'mean like bees? Have t'say I don't think I've seen anything like that yet. But hey, if you want me to keep an eye out for you I'll be happy to do just that.
no subject
He perks up. Smiling isn't one of the things he's been programmed with, but the corners of his mouth do droop less.]
Uther'th thurveillanthe will be benefithial to Thythtem.
no subject
Just as that sudden twitch of his mouth was also a coincidence. No way he was smiling, right?]
Really? So you like using them I take it? I mean, I know they have their uses. And, man do they love buzzing around with their work. It's practically all they ever think about.
no subject
Yeth, beeth keep their activity levelth high. It ith ethential for the thurvival of the hive. Low activity may rethult in chilled broodth and colony collapthe.
....Uther can communicate with beeth?
[The only way of doing that Helmsman knew was beenary. Quickly he flashes his ocular psionics at Summoner, asking him if he knew beenary as a test.]
no subject
[He couldn't help but smirk lopsidedly in response to the Helmsmans sudden interest. Arms crossing as he listened attentively.]
Yeah, that's understandable. Would be a shame if their entire hive fell due to lack of activity. Every one of em has a pretty important job after all.
[He looked up, catching the sudden flash of the others eyes out of the corner of his gaze. His beenary had been rusty, having been ages since he had spent any solid time with the insects. But he got the gist of what was being said, smirking as he came closer.]
Telepathic communication. Can share thoughts with other animals as easily as I can talk to another troll. No big deal really.
[As he approached perhaps it would have been noticed that he had been twitching his wings a bit more then he needed. Responding back, though rusty, in signal.]
