Summary: England plans on going on a quest to find a gem, since he is a pirate. Prussia invites himself along. They can't stay away from each other, apparently, even though they are enemies. 8I



True to his own determination, England had decided to take on a quest in hopes of raising some money to have his own apartment. It was not that he disliked his roommates, but they were both girls. Besides, England preferred to live alone. Living in such close quarters with two girls made him uncomfortable.

Of course, there were other reasons why he wanted to get his own place, but he felt that he'd keep those a secret. Even he was disappointed in himself for those reasons.

In any case, he was signed up to find a gem in the gnome district. It was part of some wedding ritual, but the best part was that he would get a gem of his own, and he wanted it, regardless of how much it was worth. He could not escape his pirate lust for treasure, so having a gemstone would make him feel happy. He wondered where he would hoard it...

England began his journey to the Gnomish District. He had to go quite a ways, through the upper class neighborhood. That would be alright. He could scope out the area, see if he could find any of the government officials to talk to. He was pretty excited about this quest. He hoped it went smoothly. Now that his injuries were pretty much healed, he didn't think he'd have too much of a problem.

Well, he had been planning on letting England keep a few. Or maybe even having some cut down to be made even nicer before giving them to England. But now? Nope. Besides, using magic is cheating when he has no choice but to actually work up a sweat.

With a huff, he throws a shard of rock at England before getting back to work. "At least I can break my own damn rocks."

Ah! England quickly held up his arms and blocked the incoming rock. Idiot! Were England any less mature, he would have stuck his tongue out at Prussia. Instead, he gave him the two-fingered salute (which wasn't mature either), stood up, and went over to his pickaxe.

He would stay on the opposite side of the room then! It was also nice to explore. He used to spend his time in a lot of caves like this back in the day. The pickaxe found a few more gems, but they were tiny. England still would keep them, but they wouldn't get anywhere until they found the perfect spot. The hours were passing quickly.

A few hours later, Prussia has finally found a few small gems of his own, but nothing quite so large as to net them the reward from Herrisgeld. Well. Net England the reward, but he's sure if he were the one who found the gem, England would make it worth his while.

With a tired groan, he sets the pickaxe down and flops as dramatically as he can against a boulder without hurting himself in the process. Which is all for nothing, as the force of his movement shoves the boulder out of position, sending him sprawling on the dirt. "OW! SHIT!"

Behind where the rock was is a large crack in the wall of the cave, big enough for a person to fit through.
