Characters: The Helmsman / The Ψiioniic (OU) [OPEN]

Summary: Helmsman exploring the city during off hours.
It gets chilly in the early morning. This is the quietest time, after the nocturnal have gone to sleep, and before the diurnal wake. He is wrapped in one of his friend's cloaks. The smell is comforting.
The Helmsman scheduled his navigational tasks later to allow his body to recover from his arrival. It is a considerably more calm and stable Helmsman who floats above the city and its outskirts, collecting visual data. What good is a helmsman system if it cannot map out the surrounding area? He is here because of duty and programming, not curiosity.
Still, it disturbs him that there are no stars. Yes, he was kept in a ship's navigational block for ages, and is still anxious about going outside. But half that time his head was filled with visual input of stars as he drove the Empress's battleship. By them, he always knew exactly where in the galaxy he was.
The caverns are brooding and primal. Thoughts of predators and stony, enclosed spaces fill his mind. Unsettling. He's not sure why. He'll leave exploring the outlying labyrinths for another time.
(He may or may not be wearing knitted wool cozies for his biowires. He was asked to wear them in the cold, okay?!)

[He couldn't help but smirk at that. Turning himself as to look at the cityscape surrounding them.]
Not bad. If anything this is the way to do it. I've already gotten enough hang of the terrain myself. But it can prove useful to new people who find their way here.

Everything I could inside the walls of the city actually. Been spending most of my days here doing just that. And almost got it memorized too.
Haven't yet stepped out into the cave systems though.

Erm, yeah sure thing. Lets see, we're currently in the government district. Asides from this district there are nine others. The Markets the to the west of us in the center of the city . Surrounded by docks and bridges it faces the Teyn Lake. Surrounding that is the docking district to the northwest, Frogtown to the west, the Crafters District to the South, and the Industrial District to the east. North from our current location is the Gnomish district. And between us and the Crafters District is Queens run. South of that is the South District. And west of that is the Steps, just south of Frogtown.
You want me to go into detail about each individual district? I know a bit so whatever amount of detail you need can probably help with.
Of course in this district here, the most notable landmark would probably be the Council Building right on over there.
[He gestured over to the lights that came from the large building about a half-mile off.]
It's the biggest building in Darstone. You can probably see it from up to the edges of Frogtown when on foot.

[He peppers him with more questions about the Council Building, then the government offices, and some of the main roads. Already he's organizing the information on the mirror, and it's a moment before he looks up and realizes he's still in conversation with someone.]

Well yeah, plenty out here actually. Of course I'm sure you know of the other sentient creatures native to the land. The gnomes, the huglu, and the kra'shak. There are also a large variety of simpler animals as well, crustaceans, reptiles, mammals, and amphibians. Stonebeaks and farmed reptiles are where they get their meat for sausage and the like. Scraptor Raptors and Great Raptors are trained for riding. Hornback Land Lobsters and Ridgeback Onyxshells are used for carrying purposes. Boomerang Newts are kept as pets by some.
Oh! And there are also Giant Crabs and Underground Carnivorous Octopuses exist in the lake.

[He looked up, catching the sudden flash of the others eyes out of the corner of his gaze. His beenary had been rusty, having been ages since he had spent any solid time with the insects. But he got the gist of what was being said, smirking as he came closer.]
